Love and trust, and their opposites, interweave in this sometimes hard to watch (because of subject matter) but intriguing story.  Yû Aoi does very well as the title character.  Kiyoshi Kurosawa (no relation to Akira) directed and co-wrote.  This was made for television but won awards upon its theatrical release.
