While there are some interesting insights into British civilian life at the beginning of the war, like how most casualties there were due to accidents caused by blackouts, they lost me with not only all the stuff about the military, but also the struggle for political power as Churchill took over from Chamberlain.  This time David Elstein directed and would do one more episode.
