This is from a "Fifteen Movies" of the action genre collection, although it's more of a mystery in obviously the spy sub-genre, with plots and counter-plots.  It has its campy elements, although not to an Austin Powers level, like the cocktail background music and what looks like bright red wigs on at least three characters, but I did find the story interesting enough (with Cabot in a very un-Mr.-French role), and the violence is only at a late-'60s-TV level.  Jimmy Sangster adapted his own novel, private i, and Roy Ward Baker directed years before The Irish P.M.
