Tamara is, in this story written by Mike White, Pacey's former teacher whom he had an affair with and she (Leann Hunley in her penultimate of nine appearances; she was onscreen briefly in the previous episode) is in town, looking to sell a building she owns.  Pacey is still attracted to her but faces that he might be better off getting with Andie, whom he has a love-hate relationship with.  Pacey is definitely a more interesting character than bland Dawson, so I enjoyed being teased with the possibility that both Joey and Jen might get together with other guys, in Joey's case Andie's art-loving brother Jack, and in Jen's an older man named Vincent (Joe Flanigan, who would be in one more  Dawson's episode and four years later would be on one episode of Birds of Prey, as Detective Claude Morton).  And, yes, I'm sticking with this soap opera for now.

Jesús Salvador Treviño didn't direct any other Dawson's episodes, but perhaps we'll see his work again.
