It's been a long time since I've seen the '60s Disney Jungle Book (and I haven't seen the recent one), so I don't know how this compares, but I thought it was OK, better than Jones's Rikki-Tikki-Tavvi, not quite as good as White Seal. And, yes, June Foray again voices a mother character, and McDowell narrates. Hal Ambro co-directed this time.
