Newcomers who would do at least one more episode:
  • Natasha Collins as Betty Peep
  • James Cosmo as Blind Woodsman
  • Vince De Cicco as Accordion Gypsy
  • Ann Firbank as Old Woman
  • Caroline Hayes and Helen Latham as Shepherdesses
  • Rutger Hauer as Huntsman
  • Adam Levy and Michael McCarthy as Gypsies
  • Gabrielle Lloyd as Barbara Peep
  • Calum MacPherson as The Village Idiot
  • Frank Middlemass as Judge
  • Eve Pearce (quite good) as The Gypsy Queen
  • Lucy Punch as Sally Peep
  • Craig Purnell as Filbert Peep
  • Paul Sax as Fiddle Gypsy
  • Richard Syms as Defeated Farmer
  • Jacqueline Tong as Farmer's Wife
  • Peter Vaughan as Wilfred Peep
  • Tony Vogel as the Boatman
  • Edward Woodall as Fairfax Peep
In this episode, Tony, Virginia, Wolf (still waiting to see if that's a pun), and a Midasized-in-the-gold-sense-by-Tony Wendell are hunted by the Huntsman and offered shelter by a Gypsy camp, whom the Huntsman slaughters.  (So some of these people may be coming back in flashbacks, dunno.)  I found both developments, and such fairytale motifs as a growing-hair curse and talking birds, to improve the show.  They even visit the Seven Dwarves' long abandoned cottage.  The episode ends with the Huntsman capturing Virginia by her hair.
