Ward, Banker, Castuera, Herpich, McHale, and Osborne wrote this funny and surprisingly complex story about Finn and Jake trying to help their maybe 20something friend Marceline (Olivia Olson), but getting used by her manipulative ex-boyfriend Ash, who tricks them into erasing her memory of their breakup.  So F & J have to recover, yes, a memory of a memory.  I would've gone with a B+ but it's a little disconcerting to see Marceline literally kicking Ash when he's down.

Newbie Ava Acres voices Young Marceline and would return in that and some other roles six more times, while Steve Agee had been on once before and would be back seven times after this episode where he plays Rag Wizard, Ash, and Cherry Blossom Ghost.  This is also Martin Olson's second episode, in his case of five, here voicing Hunson Abadeer and Tiny Goblin.
