What is with this show?  I thought this was just a nice, normal sitcom plot, probably as old as '30s radio, where Jean is very curious about the title characters.  And then in the final scene, we find out that the verbally argumentative couple next door have punched each other in the eye, and when they meet up in the pub, they hug and then he carries her off!  And Lionel and Alistair make jokes about it.  What a shame, since this could've been a pretty good programme without the disturbing streak running through it.
