I found this implausible-- sure, everyone can drive across L.A. in ten minutes or less-- with clunky dialogue.  Still, the premise is promising and I could see how this could work in better hands.  Note that this was made so long ago that the threatened candidate is "the first African-American with a real shot at the White House."
