This definitely falls into the more interesting than funny, time-capsule category. Carlin, doing a "hippie" character in '66, is the only one who's not quite show-biz as usual, although it's pretty clear that Hope, Martin, and Gobel are all drunk in the clip from '69. And obviously the shock value of an axe-thrower almost hitting the crotch of the paper target, or Flip Wilson doing an "ugly baby" routine, has worn off.
Note that this is the first quarter hour of The Ultimate Collection Starring Johnny Carson, so we are technically in the U's now, which I don't expect to be a very productive letter.
