I was less drawn into this episode, which cover 1936 to '45, and thus has a lot about war, from the Spanish Civil to WWII. Logan is at least arguably more sympathetic at this point, devoted as he is to his second wife, Freya, and their daughter, Stella. So of course Freya and Stella are killed while he's in prison as an incompetent spy. Note that Logan doesn't write much during this period, other than his journals, while his vapid friend Peter changes from churning out mysteries to writing a tribute to his suicidal wife, called Guilt. (Tess is the one that Peter and Logan both lost their virginities to, although Peter doesn't know this.
Richard Schiff would be back as Dr. Byrne, as would Poppy Epstein as Stella at Age 6. (Honey Epstein plays her at Age 4 but will not return.)
