Creator Todd A. Kessler directed and co-wrote, with co-creators Glenn Kessler and Daniel Zelman, this fourth-season opener.  And, yes, I'm coming in sort of in the middle, but I wasn't drawn into any of the interweaving storylines and didn't care about any of the characters, including Glenn Close's first world problems like nanny issues.  Also, it's hard to get swept up in intrigue when two supposedly intelligent women discuss top secrets in places like laundromats and diners.  On the plus side, the look and sound of the program are for the most part comparatively pleasant for a modern drama.  And, yes, I'm so out of the 21st-century TV loop that I'd never even heard of Audience Network until now.

I'm tagging the stars-- Close, Byrne, and Goodman-- on the assumption we'll see them again.  We've actually seen Takako Haywood before in this project, as Tiger Woods's Mom on Chapelle's Show, while she appears as a nameless Lawyer here.
