Jessica Alba is the title character in this very silly James Cameron "futuristic" story. (The flashbacks are to 2009, while present-day is Seattle in 2019.) She's a thief and a bike messenger and a survivor of genetic re-engineering and probably a hipster barista for all I know. Of the laugh-out-loud moments, my favorite is when she looks over her shoulder and is annoyed-- not confused, not scared-- by a low-flying saucer that looks more Ed Wood than the high-budget FX you'd expect from Mr. Titanic Avatar. David Nutter directed and couldn't seem to get a natural, believable performance out of anyone, but then he did direct Arrow's pilot as well.
I made it through half an hour of about an hour and a half of this.
