I didn't care about any of the characters, including Oliver (Alan Bates), enough to watch past the slow-moving first quarter hour, so my assignment of genres is based on the DVD case and not the actual content of what I watched.  Alan Plater based the script on his own novel.  Giles Foster directed.

This is the 100th C- I've given, roughly one-eighth of the project so far.
