The thirty-second episode of the second season is definitely the funniest I've seen so far.  It's farcical and surprisingly daring, from Bilko using words like "sexy" and "sex appeal" to the suspicions of adultery (involving the decidedly bland Halls) to 23-year-old Julie Newmar in a French maid's costume.  Even the visual gag of a hypnotically infatuated Doberman on a ladder hoping to elope and then falling (when it's very clear that the Halls' bedroom is on the first floor) works very well.

Heywood Broun, Jr. (whose father was a well-known writer in the 1920s and '30s) has one of his three roles on the show, here as Major Spangler, MD, an almost scene-stealing role as he repeatedly "confesses" to a long-ago romance.
