I'll be honest: if this third episode of the third season didn't have all the celebrity cameos, it'd probably be a C, considering all the stereotypes about the South. Besides the sports figures I've actually heard of-- Red Barber, Yogi Berra, Whitey Ford, Phil Rizzuto-- 31-year-old Dick Van Dyke has a breakthrough role (incredibly his first in comedy) as the title character. He'd return as a different character the following year, Bilko's cousin!
Frank Campanella's first of three roles is as the Yankee Scout.
