Matt Smith is hyper and wears a bow-tie. Gambon is the curmudgeon whose memories the Doctor meddles in. I liked the fish floating in fog, but 20 minutes was enough.
Toby Haynes also directed five of the regular episodes around that time. And, yes, the budget had grown a lot in 30 years.
