This episode's villain is the Scarecrow (voiced by Henry Polic II), who uses a fear gas. We find out that Batman's greatest fear is disgracing his family. This is a darker episode than the other two I've watched so far, which is not necessarily a plus with me, although it does add complexity. More humor would've been welcome, and not just about how ignorant the Scarecrow's henchmen are.
Kevin McCarthy, the veteran actor, not the Congressman, guest-stars as Dr. Long. Henry T. Gilroy didn't write any other episodes, but Sean Catherine Derek would do five others. Boyd Kirkland would direct twenty more.
