Jesse Reese is having bad luck with his coworkers.  In the previous episode, two of his partners were killed, and here his new partner turns out to be a meta-human who hates all other meta-humans.  This complicates Jesse's tentative relationship with half-meta-human The Huntress, who still won't tell him her name.  Meanwhile, Dinah has trouble fitting in at her new school, where Barbara teaches, and Barbara has an unseen and apparently disastrous Meet the Parents with Wade, her fellow teacher.

Callie De Fabry appears for the first of two times as Gabby, while Robert Patrick Benedict would be back thrice more as Gibson Kafka.  This is Adam Armus's first of six scripts for the series, the first of five for Kay Foster, Adam Horowitz, and Edward Kitsis.  This time the director, Chris Long, would actually return.
