Despite this ending with lots of plot threads hanging-- like Nanny Simmons lurking in the park!-- I enjoyed this finale and wish they'd been able to make a second series.  In fact, this programme is easily my favorite so far in this project.  Well-acted and directed, and scored and costumed, historical soap opera at its best.  And, yes, I'm a Lydia/Fowler shipper.
