In this second Laeta Kalogridis story, things solidify more, including the henchman "Liquid Guy" (Dinah's lame nickname which Helena reluctantly adopts). The three women's teamwork is still important, but potential love interests, hinted at in the premiere, are given "first dates," Barbara with a fellow teacher, Dinah with policeman Jesse Reese, who she rescues and spends five hours with partially stripped down in a sauna. We also find out more about Harley Quinn's love life, as she pines for "Mr. J" (the Joker of course) but flirts with and threatens "Liquid Guy" AKA the episode's title character, while they're naked in her shower.
Hans Hernke makes his first of two uncredited appearances as a Gothic City High Student. Again, the director did just one episode, this time Michael Katleman. Note that bits of early Aughts music appear on this series, nothing I can name but things I vaguely recognize.
