This is a contemporary of Everybody Loves Raymond, and there are some obvious similarities, from a stand-up comic as the lead to the premise of a suburban New York couple dealing with their crazy family. I found this cornier than the pilot to ELR, although it has more of late '90s sex humor. (Including whether First Lady Hillary Clinton is worth "doing.") Still, I liked the cast and I was hoping the writing would pick up (spoiler: it didn't), so here's who we'll see once more:
