Also, Alan Rothwell, who's uncredited as the voice of Dr. Fisher, would later play Peter Stone.  Christopher Wilkinson would return as the Librarian.

Hetty turns 60 and wants to do something interesting, and a part-time job isn't enough.  She starts solving crime, with a teenage sidekick.  It's a likable enough programme and, like Hamish Macbeth, an example of how "clean" '90s crime dramas (not just British) are compared to ones from this decade.

David Cook, who wrote the novel Missing Persons, which inspired the television version, co-wrote the episodes with John Bowen.  John Glenister directed four more episodes.
