Yes, I enjoyed this less than Grey's Anatomy, from its gruff lead (Hugh Laurie doing an American accent more competently than he did in the '80s) to the graphic tracheotomy to the heavy-handed set-up.  Bryan Singer directed only one other episode, but I almost didn't make it to the required quarter hour of this one.
