While this has good acting, directing, costumes, etc., I could take only 22 minutes because of all the blood and gore.  This is set a century earlier and the title character (Eleanor Bramwell) is a young female doctor struggling against sexism and other ignorance.  Note that Ruth Sheen, who plays Nurse Ethel Carr, was Nanny Simmons on Berkeley Square.  And, yes, Robert Hardy plays a doctor, as he did on All Creatures Great and Small.  David Tucker directed.
