Jack's past is exposed and distorted, the press and the townspeople hounding him until he dies. (Probably but not necessarily suicide.) Although the circumstances are very different, there's a certain de ja vu to the still of Alec and Ellie looking at a dead body on the beach. Meanwhile, Mark and Beth have it out about his affair and seem to somewhat make peace with each other, and Susan seems more sinister than ever.
Bailey, who plays Susan's dog Vince, would also be in the following episode.
