Louise Fox wrote this episode where the characters started really surprising me again.  The vicar is the suspect du jour but meanwhile Susan's behaviour is baffling.  She seems like she's luring Tom into her trailer to attack him but she confirms that he's the son of one of the cops on the case and then she gives him Danny's skateboard.  When she's arrested, Mark's employee Nige steals her dog and prepares to shoot it, with a crossbow!  Meanwhile, Beth meets with a mother whose grieving has taken over her life, but later the Latimers try to take a break from their sadness.  And, to Ellie's shock, Alec collapses while they're in pursuit of yet another suspect.  Note that Tom tells Chloe he hated her brother and is glad he's dead, an admission no one follows up on, yet.

Anthony Farrelly makes his first appearance as an Arresting Police Officer.  Amanda Drew does her only episode this series as Cate Gillespie, but she would be more prominent in the next series.
