Well, this isn't my first time getting lost watching this series, but I think the death of the favorite horse of one of the triplets makes him want to die so that he and the dead triplet and the female triplet will never be separated. I have lost track of all the threads that have come and gone-- Is Izumiko ever going to meet up with her mom?-- but I have to hope that they'll all connect at some point.
