This Michael Grassi story is a bit much and not enough.  Even if he is dealing with the fallout of not only his father's injuries but his ex-lover's murder, are we supposed to believe that Archie is staying up all night to guard the family home and yet also buying drugs and guns?  It's too quick a turnaround.  And I felt like too much time was spent on various legal and financial shenanigans and not on what's strongest about the show, the dynamic among Archie, Betty, Jughead, and Veronica.  This may just be a temporary slip-down or it may portend worse developments.  We shall see.

Brit Morgan would return nine times as Penny Peabody.  Stephan Miers makes his first of seven appearances as Andre, Smithers's replacement.  Chris Britton would be back the next year as the nameless Judge.
