Oddly enough, the one thing I liked about this episode written by Ross Maxwell is the introduction of Vanessa Morgan as Toni Topaz, Jughead's new classmate at Southside High.  She wears a beanie and has a similar sense of humor to Jughead's, so if they're setting up yet another triangle, I'm actually all for it.  It would be preferable to all this stuff about shootings and drugs and gangs and Archie's "army," etc.  Even Kevin has suddenly become so desperate for sex or attention that he's cruising the woods while a not-quite-killer is on the loose.  Season One was dark at times (although never as much as it thought) while this is just, I don't know, bleak?  Maybe the show will find itself again, but I can't say I blame Polly for exiting.

Sheila Tyson would be back once as Delores, Robert Baker once as Robert Phillips.
