Ross Maxwell wrote this episode, his first of three, that's centered around Jason's memorial service.  (Jason went missing back in the summer but his body washed up fairly recently.)  Meanwhile, Archie sort of chooses music over football; his father tries to court Veronica's mother, although they're both married; and various sleuthing continues.

Kadence Roach makes her first of two appearances as Li'l Polly.  Ardy Ramezani makes his first of four appearances as either Quarterback or Football Player.  Barbara Wallace debuts as Rose Blossom, Cheryl's grandmother, who reveals that Jason and Polly were engaged.  This is the only Riverdale episode Jesse Warn directed but he had done a couple Flash episodes I reviewed.
