I found this conclusion disappointing, although the trio of episodes still averages out to a B-. There are cheesy moments, like Nick Heathcliffily calling Lyn's name on the moors. Characters who looked like they might matter don't return, from Nick's grandmother and mother to the female reporter who warned him about the cop. Also, there's not exactly closure, since Stephen, at his father's urging, shoots both his father and himself, but we just see the cop wandering the moors, not actually finding the bodies. Perhaps some of this is a problem of transferring from page to print, but I would've preferred that some earlier stuff had been left out if it wasn't going to have a pay-off.
