This episode written by Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa is tighter than most of the other episodes this season.  (In fact, it's the 100th B for this project.)  Even Archie and Veronica's duet at the dance is used to add to their developing relationship, as well as to fuel Betty's suspicions about why they're scheming with her mom.  Jughead's dad, F.P., confesses to Jason Blossom's murder, even though he's apparently been framed, but the timing is such that the viewer knows the real killer will be revealed later, hopefully in the last two episodes of the season.

Kevin Rodney Sullivan would direct three more episodes.
