A British politician is caught up in a sex-and-suicide scandal that gets more press than the shooting of a young Black man. I had trouble caring about the characters, other than sort of the bearded journalist, and it was hard to get past that bloody (in both senses) shooting.
David Yates, who directed the second half of the Harry Potter series, directed this. I'm tagging the performers I recognized: Kelly Macdonald (Gosford Park), Polly Walker (Enchanted April), and of course Bill Nighy.
