Although this aired on American Independence Day, it's set shortly before Christmas.  It's interesting to see Geoffrey and Ellen sort of settling into domesticity, decorations on the tree and all, but with their own dramatic spin, and of course when he starts seeing Oliver's ghost again, things can't be too peaceful.  Also, a much-admired, including by himself, actor named Henry Breedlove (Geraint Wyn Davies) arrives to play the title role in Macbeth, and it's clear that Geoffrey is going to have a hard time controlling his temper.  Note that this episode feels darker than earlier ones and I have considered changing the tag from "sitcom" to "dramedy," but I feel that it is still a comedy, albeit one with dramatic and even sinister moments.

Colm Feore, Joanne Kelly, and Grace Lynn Kung makes their first of five appearances as respectively Sanjay, Emily Lu, and Sarah.  Jacob Tierney would be back thrice as Scott.  Olivia Palenstein is listed as Ad Wank here but would be Frog Hammer Employee #2 later (I think the same character).  Conrad Coates in contrast is Frog Hammer Employee #1 both times.  Ben Carlson would be Ed once more.  I want to single out Diane D'Aquila, who, in her first of three appearances as the Minister of Culture, manages to steal a scene from Mark McKinney.
