To make matters even more confusing, IMDB and Wikipedia both have this series listed as "The Adventures of...," but the DVD case just says, "The Complete Sherlock Holmes."  In any case, I found this in between the '50s and '10s versions in quality, definitely less violent than even the '50s-- the plot in the first quarter hour of this slow-moving episode seemed to be about possible blackmail rather than an actually committed crime-- but with poor acting by the King of Bohemia (Wolf Kahler, a German actor I thought was actually British).  Paul Annett directed.
