The title characters are the three sisters in a working-class Liverpool family of 1920. Although it's drama, there's definitely humour, too, especially from Ruby, who speaks her mind, even at an interview for a corset company. (She gets the job.) I did mark this down a notch because the accents are sometimes hard to fathom; if you're imagining the Beatles, it's actually much thicker.
Heidi Thomas is the creator and possibly wrote this episode. David Moore didn't direct any other episodes.
