I like how the threads and characters interact here, with the title character wanting her son, Yasir, to take a second wife, a specific woman, and him not wanting to but also not wanting to hurt his mother, while Reverend Magee agrees to perform a gay wedding, only to have Johnny and his groom decide to go to Toronto for the ceremony, although protesters Baber and Joe keep protesting for awhile. And, yes, Fred rails against the reverend on his right-wing radio show, while Fatima agrees to cater despite her disapproval. By the way, Maria Vacratsis, who plays Yasir's mom, looks surprisingly like Mabel Albertson, who played Sam's mother-in-law on Bewitched.
