Creator Zarqua Narwaz co-wrote this very witty episode with Lara Rae and Rebecca Schechter, and it's a fine introduction to the basic premise, with all the various culture clashes, my favorite pay-off being "If he doesn't like it here, why doesn't he go back to Toronto?" I had no idea when it was made until I saw the end credits, and I had to remember that '06 wasn't all that long after the anti-Muslim paranoia of post-9/11, here with a Canadian twist. (Not that anti-Muslim feeling hasn't continued of course, but I think emotions were rawer in the '00s than the '10s.)
