In keeping with the programme's generally one-episode romances, Billy is reunited with his male love from the war, now a triple amputee, although, before Nazzer dies, Billy does try to prove his heterosexuality with Queenie Higgs (Laura Wallace, in her first of three appearances). And May finds out not only that she's pregnant, but her impregnation was a scheme by the childless Brazendales!
