Tim Hedrick wrote this episode, his first of fifteen, as well as the first of fifteen directed by Colin Heck, and it gets Season Two off to a good start.  Although more than a year has passed since Season One, only six months have passed in Korra's world.  Mako is now a cop, while Bolin tries to continue pro bending with two Fire Ferrets who aren't very good.  And Korra is getting restless again.  When her uncle, who's chief of the North Water Tribe, offers to train her in communing with spirits, she decides that she prefers this to further air-bending training with Tenzin, despite her father's disagreements with his brother.  We also get some insights, some of them humorous, into Tenzin's relationships with his older brother and sister. And, yes, Korra and Mako are still a couple and still bickering.  My favorite thread was actually how Asami and her "assistant" Bolin impress an impresario that she hopes to partner with, although he's mostly interested in motion pictures, or "movers."
