While I didn't particularly care about the characters or their situations in the first quarter hour of this second-season opener, what really sank it is the crappy direction by Marc Roskin (who did a dozen episodes, as well as producing). Not only are shots composed poorly but the acting is bad, particularly anything involving a foreign accent. Still, I won't go lower than I did for Arrow, since it wasn't laughable, just sub-par.
