Korra washes ashore on an isolated island, loses her memory, and then watches the first Avatar, Wan (voiced by Steven Yeun), start to gain his powers centuries ago.  I didn't like the artwork as much as usual, and I wasn't that interested in the way-back-story, so it's the weakest episode so far.  I can kind of see what co-creator DiMartino was going for in this script, but it doesn't really work.

Jonathan Adams debuts as Vaatu, the first of nine appearances, while April Stewart is Raava the first of five.  Marcus Toji is Little Chou here but would mostly play Wing and Wei on his five other episodes.  Justin Prentice would also be Jaya on Part 2, while Barbara Goodson would be a Shaman there, too.  Jason Marsden is Aye-Aye here and in Part 2 but would mostly be Huan in three other episodes.  Travis Willingham is a Huntsman and Random Spirit #2 but would later be Ganbat, while Paul Nakauchi is Chou the Elder but would be an Acupuncturist.  And Jim Meskimen, who I know from Whose Line Is It Anyway? does his first of eleven episodes, here as Kuruk and Hunter #1.
