This story by Johns & Wu offers stupid villains played by bad actors-- Wentworth Miller as Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold and Dominic Purcell as Mick Rory AKA Heat Wave-- with a plan to defeat them that feels needlessly contrived.  And does anyone really care that Iris is moving in with Eddie, ten minutes' away from her dad's house?  I mean, she's 25 and the audience can't be expected to be half as upset as Barry.  It is nice that this means that Barry is moving back into his old room.  Oh, and Cisco has some nice moments, but this is balanced by Caitlin being kidnapped and threatened with burning.  If the next episode doesn't get a C+ or higher, then I'm done with The Flash.

Some minor performers/characters we've seen before return, but I won't list them all.  Cop #2, Jason Bell, would play other little roles.  Nick Copus fortunately wouldn't direct again for this series.
