OK, I'll stick with the series for now. At last, there's an interesting villain: Andy Mientus as Hartley Rathaway AKA Pied Piper. He's a former protege of Wells, and he was rude and condescending to Caitlin and more so Cisco. He's also a young gay man whose rich family disinherited him, as well as a bilingual chess-nerd. And he knows Wells's secret, maybe about the yellow suit, maybe about something else. I'm just glad that he's simply imprisoned downstairs at the end of the episode, not dead, so we'll see him again. The weakest aspect of this Roberts & Schapker script is that Iris, who is admittedly clueless, doesn't realize that she's been hired to work on a newspaper simply so she'll cover the Flash.
Tom Butler would return as Eric Larkin, while Roger Howarth would be back as Mason Bridge. John F. Showalter would direct two more episodes.
