Bob Rodgers wrote this story (his first of two) that I believe is the first to have Ted's "It all started in a 5000 watt radio station in Fresno" speech.  The "Teddy" of the title is the local TV show award, although of course Baxter points out the similarity in names.  The "Bob" is Rhoda's boyfriend who prefers Mary.  A few episodes ago, Rhoda and Mary referred to each other as best friends, and they certainly bonded quickly, although it's never explained how they got there from having trouble hating each other in the pilot.  Gordy is again referred to but not seen.

Henry Corden (perhaps best known as the voice of Fred Flintstone) has his first of three MTM roles, as Mr. Hartunian.  This is the first of ten episodes Peter Baldwin directed.
