This Treva Silverman story doesn't really work.  Rhoda talks Mary into joining a social club for divorced people, so they can go to Paris for only $300 each, but they meet a bunch of weirdos, including a dentist who nominates Mary for Vice-President because of her teeth.  Note that Harper looks frumpy in her sweatsuit but stylish in the second outfit she wears to the club.

Gino Conforti, who plays Roy, is perhaps most recognizable as Felipe on Three's Company; he'd return in this role.  Patte Finley, here Sparkie, would have an equally cutesy character name the next year: Twinks.  But, as Pat Finley, she'd be most identifiable as Bob Hartley's sister on The Bob Newhart Show.  Asner is absent, and there's not really much in the newsroom, although we do find out a bit more about Ted's character.  This is the first of four MTM episodes Alan Rafkin directed, but he'd do 23 for BNS.
