Cast I recognize:
- Graeme Garden (The Goodies but also a very early episode of Whose Line Is It Anyway?)
- poor Richard E. Grant trying his best in the role of Marple's nephew
- Adrian Rawlins (Harry Potter's dad) as Derek Turnbull
- Dan Stevens (Matthew Crawley on Downton Abbey) struggling to play a German pilot when he looks like he wants to laugh half the time
Skimming through several low-starred reviews on IMDB, it turns out that this story was changed drastically from the original Christie. All I know is it definitely doesn't work on its own terms. It's shrill (especially Ronni Ancona as Amanda Dalrymple), implausible, unengaging, and lurid, especially with the killer nun. Sadly, this drags the average of the Marple episodes I've watched down to a C, and I don't feel like giving the series another chance.
