This Ashley Gable story is gory, choppy, and reckless.  Not only are characters reckless, from Jane trying to "shock" Bosco awake to Bosco telling Jane to kill rather than arrest Red John when he catches him, but the producers are reckless, as if a bunch of contracts were up and they decided to kill off or otherwise push people offscreen.  (Minelli tells off a reporter in a crude, offensive way, which we're meant to admire as much as Lisbon does, and then he resigns.)  I am on the fence right now, right on the C/C+ border.  This series is better than a lot of stuff I've watched lately, but I don't know if I'm going to make it to the end of the season.

CHP Officer Tom Billett would later play CDCA Agent #2.  This is the 100th crime drama I've reviewed, although, yeah, it sometimes feels like a lot more.
