This, Treva Silverman's first of sixteen MTM scripts, is a weaker episode but not without interest.  The title is a reference to Mary realizing she's not "young" anymore, although that's dropped as she and Rhoda ask men over for drinks at Mary's.  Rhoda's "date" brings his wife, which helps to give Harper most of the funny lines in the episode.  Mary's date is played by Richard Schaal, who would be one of Carol's recurring boyfriends on The Bob Newhart Show a few years later, and he's good at playing irritating and clueless people, but that doesn't mean it's fun to watch Mary try to politely squirm away from him.  Also, I would've liked a more balanced episode, with more stuff in the office.  Still, Mary's talent for disastrous parties is here in embryonic form.

Messenger David Hayward would play a Delivery Boy later in the year (and is still acting by the way).  Jack De Mave would return as Armond Linton, but without wife Nancy.
